Acrylic on board. No references. Inspired by Poe's story "The Masque of the Red Death" I did this painting some time ago, but it seems to fit the current theme rather well.

Excellent use of red. As soon as I saw this, it reminded me of those old classic Hammer films. Bloody and creepy!

Thanks for the kind comments. Hammer films have always been favourites of mine and doubtless influence my style in pictures like this.
